Corsair Launches New DDR5 RAM Kits 48GB, 96GB, 192GB

If you are in the market for extreme RAM capacity, then look no further as Corsair expanded its DDR5 Vengeance series with its unique memory kits of 48GB (2x24GB), 96GB (2x48GB), and 192GB (4x48GB).

All this is possible thanks to the introduction of 24Gb dies, which makes vendors possible to produce 24GB and 48GB memory modules.

This is a huge leap from previous technologies as the fact that a standard PC could now achieve 96GB of memory just by using 2 lanes, is something that was kind of unthinkable a few years past.

When is it available and what are the lineups?

The official press release announces that all three kits are available for purchase starting on 7 March 2023 directly via Corsair’s official web store and its official retailers and distributors.

All 3 kits are also available in both RGB and non-RGB flavors from release which is great news for all builders out there.

The prices listed above are in USD as Corsair has yet to announce the lineups to the Australian market. However, it still can be useful information to help estimate how much it will cost when it is officially released here.

Should you really get it though?

For those who are looking for the highest amount of memory possible for whatever reasons and have a budget for it then sure. However, for most people, we think that it’s best to wait and see the technology mature a bit further.

This is because all three kits still ran in conventional timings for the sake of ensuring maximum compatibility because as of now, running this high amount of capacity has already put quite a task for the current’s processors integrated memory controller (IMC) and with today’s pricing, it is still a bit more value to the money to go for the conventional kits.
